Our
Story
Welcome to my delightful world, brought forth with acrylics and mixed media. Into the realms of dark matter and energy mixed with microscopic organisms are shrunken and enlarged to offer the viewer a wide chasm of perceptual contortion.
The individual brush strokes and swirling colours in the micro-dots bring the audience in from a distance to an up close analysis revealing hidden wonders that shed insight into the life inside of and encompassing us.
We are a world of diversity that is mostly unseen, and rely on it for our very existence.
In a state of meditation, these pieces are brought about. In their variation the background and underlying nature of life is brought forward, as the dance it is.
Reed has been painting since childhood. These moments generally come in spurts of prolific activity. 2023 brought with it one of these with some 30 plus works created (see above). Before this was during Reeds life in Hawai'i, with a few pieces featured below.
