Nurturing Man

As I continue to examine what creates society, and culture. There are many patterns I notice.

The edge is where most of life gathers. Yet to feel and breathe fully one must also find space, or is it place.

Where are we coming from, and how can I introduce nurturing and care as a foundational relation context. What? Yeah, like the primates we are. What are those practices that others of our kind utilize for their social groups well being.?. I personally am open to the notion that we can learn a lot from nature. In recalling our animal nature. We are a keystone species after all. How do we create spaces of trust, and nurturing tending.

It seems by and large that much of north america is touch deprived. Not only this, but the reality of the innumerable traumas that are associated with touch in some fashion. These are causes of a wound so few acknowledge and often with it isolation. Because of the millennia of coercive and violent methods employed by men, there is a general edge that is held in public society between many.

An antithesis to this is a gathering I call "Nurturing Man". Inspired by a mens cuddle group in Massachusetts, and the Manventure group in BC to bring what I most need into the world. That is more massage, in manhood with those who share the softness of our primate and animal presence. To let the hairs on our necks settle and the shoulders roll back, and listen to the quiet stories that whisper through the hollow. Yes, waxing poetic comes with the territory.

Fathermode, take hold, writing on the edge of life...
